Market Building for the Island of in Kulhudhuffushi

On the 3rd May 2006,  Maldives Aid the British registered Charity in a small ceremony officially handed over one of the largest buildings in the Maldives to the people of Kulhudhuffushi.

The project has taken over a year to complete and involved the transporting of the steel building from Wales in the UK by sea to the Maldives and then to Kulhudhuffushi. The project has cost in the region of $75 000.

Maldives Aid is delighted to announce the completion of one of the largest construction projects in the outlying islands of the Maldives.   The Maldives Aid project began in January 2005 following the Tsunami when a British company based in Wales,  Shufflebottom approached Maldives Aid with the offer of the Steel Building.
